Dr. Gorman announced this week that CMS will take a look at some positive changes on the eligibility issue. I commend him for standing up and realizing we must restore credibility to the product, in this case high school sports. Dr. Gorman has done a lot of good things since he arrived in town and we have no reason to beleive he will not get this corrected as well.
It's not going to be easy, we have way to many parents that don't think twice about cheating the system. Not sure what they are teaching their kids in doing this, but it can't be good.
CMS is a huge system, and folks come from all walks of life. The cheating isn't limited to one school, one area of town or one segment of the population. It will take a complete effort to rid the problem from CMS, but once we do, the questioning of certain schools and rumor mills can be erased. Thats a good thing for all of us.
